Oh, we went there! We dropped a “Yo’ Mama”, but we figure we have some bragging rights in that department. Mike & Emily Speros opened Mama Jeans in 1994. Having been brought up in North Carolina in the family restaurant business, Mike assured his family that this was a good move. Mike knew that if they brought great tasting food inspired by the cooking of the South and the Lowcountry, just like he grew up with, then the people would come. They still, after all these years, serve home cooking as good as Yo’ Mamas’!
