About Us
We’re 1,640 ft. closer to heaven.
Growing grapes at a higher altitude affect our vines and wines in wonderful ways. At 1,640 ft above sea level, the climate ripens grapes slowly and evenly while the rocky soil infuses the wine with a flavorful aroma of minerality. Our complex soils encase our vine roots giving our wines a unique expression of mountain terroir.
100% estate-grown. 100% hand-picked. 100% hand-crafted. 100% of the time.
Grapes picked by hand. Wine made by hand. We grow all of our grapes on our estate and handpick the harvest at nearly freezing temperature in the early morning, ensuring only weathered-cooled grapes make it down the hill to the winery.
Fruit varieties abound.
Viticulture is part science, part passion. We, fortunately, have an abundance of both. Of course, cultivating and harvesting grapes at higher altitudes can be challenging, but then, so is everything worthwhile. So, why do we do it? Because we love winemaking and pouring our passion into hand-crafting the soulful flavor of our bold Bordeaux varietals.
There are orchards, too.
Six acres, in fact, with more than thirteen apple varieties. You’ll also find peaches, nectarines, blueberries, blackberries, pecans, and muscadines.
