We’re your favorite winery!

Located just one hour due north of Atlanta, this charming winery sits at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Come be a guest in our living room and discover why this is your favorite winery.

Step inside our Tasting Room and instantly feel at home. Enjoy our wines, relax in the comfortable furniture, listen to music on the weekends.

There are a total of fifteen acres altogether, four of which are planted in vines. We grow the American wine grape, Norton, as well as the French varietals, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Manseng, and Petit Verdot.
In our on-site winery, we produce red, white, and rosé wines that range in taste from dry, to off-dry, to sweet.
In addition to mature grape vines and farm-related buildings, the grounds are home to our Tasting Room, which is open year-round, and our Event Barn, which is available for weddings and other celebrations. We have three short-stay vacation rentals.

You’ll notice right away that there are images of donkeys on everything, from wine labels to merchandise—and yes, we have live donkeys! Our donkeys are as much a part of our identity as the old log cabin—our guests remember us as “the winery with the donkeys.”

Cavender Creek Vineyards and Winery is centrally located in relation to other wineries, area attractions, and downtown Dahlonega.
